Whole Wheat Pizza Dough

2cups flour
1cup whole wheat flour
1envelope Rapid Rise yeast
1teaspoon salt
1cup very warm water
2tablespoons olive oil
4tablespoons corn meal
2tablespoons olive oil
2large Tomatoes sliced thin
8ounces mozeralla cheese shredded
4leaves Basil sliced thin
4tablespoons parmesan



1. Preheat oven to 425

2. Combine 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 cup of whole wheat flour, un-dissolved yeast, and salt in a large bowl.

3. Stir very warm water and olive oil into flour mixture.

4. Stir enough remaining flour to make soft dough. Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 4-6 minutes. Cover; let rest on floured surface 10 minutes.

5. Lightly oil  4 – 8" round pizza pans.

6. Sprinkle oiled pizza pan with cornmeal.

7. Shape dough into 4 smooth balls. Divide and roll dough to fit desired pans.


1. Drizzle the olive oil over the pizza dough.

2. Spread the mozzarella cheese throughout the top, but keep it thin.

3. Place the thinly sliced tomatoes across the entire pizza.

4. Spread the fresh basil leaves,

5. Cook the pizza in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until sufficiently crispy and melted to your liking.

6. Add a little Parmesan cheese and enjoy
