Valentines Day Pancakes
- Yield: 4-6 servings
Ingredients
- 2 cups-- pancake mix
- 1 cup-- water
- 2drops red food coloring
- 1-- heart shaped cookie cutter
Instructions
Mix pancake mix according to box directions and divide in two bowls
place 2 drops of red food coloring in one bowl (should come out pink colored….adjust accordingly)
make 1 batch of regular colored pancakes and 1 batch of pink colored pancakes
when cooled, take 1 pink colored pancake and cut a heart shape out of the middle using cookie cutter, set aside
take 1 regular colored pancake and cut a heart shape out of the middle using cookie cutter, place in middle of pink pancake and take pink heart and place in middle of regular colored pancake….you now have 2 "two toned" colored pancakes….repeat with rest of pancakes
This is a fun treat the kids love to have for breakfast on Valentines Day…..I do it every year!
