German Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

2tablespoons butter
1/4cup canola oil
3/4cup light brown sugar
1 egg
1teaspoon vanilla extract
1teaspoon coconut extract
1cup all-purpose flour
1/2teaspoon baking soda
1/4cup cocoa
1cup old-fashioned oatmeal
1/3cup flaked coconut
1/3cup chopped pecans
1/3cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven 350F. Spray baking sheet with nonstick spray.
  2. Beat together butter and oil, then add brown sugar, and mix until creamy. Add in egg, vanilla and coconut extract, and continue to mix well.
  3. Combine flour, baking soda, and cocoa. Combined with creamed mixture and mix until smooth.
  4. Add in remaining ingredients. Drop teaspoon size portions onto baking sheet and bake until firm, usually 8-10 minutes.
